Biography:

Robert got his start in martial arts at the age of 5 after his parents brought him to the dojo and lied about how young he was to get him into class. Fast forward to 2020 and Robert has trained with Sensei Dauphin for over 22 years: holding the rank of Yondan (4th degree black belt). Robert is one of the few who have achieved the rank of Shodan (1st degree black belt) at 14 years old, (a rank  typically reserved until the age of 16). Robert has competed in local and provincial-level tournaments in Ontario with excellent results. 

Robert is also an instructor at Legacy Martial Arts and Fitness, teaching Monday night classes 6:00 - 7:00 PM as well as serving as a secondary instructor in other weekly classes.

Robert is currently a PhD Candidate in Civil Engineering (Water) at the University of Waterloo and is a Professional Engineer licensed in Ontario.

4th Dan - Legacy Shorin Ryu Karate Jutsu

Blue Belt - Cambridge BJJ under Kelvin Bezerra and Nadisson Rossi

Competitive: 

Multi-Regional, Provincial Medalist in Kata, Weapons Kata and Kumite

   - Weapons: Bo Staff; Tombo

   - Empty Hand Styles: Shorin Ryu Karate, Hakutsuru (White Crane)
