LMAF Recap: Kyoshi Randy Dauphin’s 50th Birthday

For most people, turning 50 years old would be celebrated by buying a Ferrari or indulging the slots at Vegas. For Kyoshi Randy Dauphin, he set to commemorate this milestone by fighting 50 x 2 minute rounds while raising donations to fund Cystic Fibrosis research. Martial Artists from as far as Mexico answered the call and assembled on Dec 11th, 2021 to spar with this half-Centenarian Sensei in Kitchener, Ontario.

In just over 3 hours, Kyoshi Dauphin had fought with:

            - 14 x 4th - 10th Dans (Master-level martial artists including 4 world champions)

            - 16 x Black Belts (1st - 3rd Dans)

            - 1 x 4 Division Professional Boxing Champion

            - 14 x Kyu Belts (Yellow [6th Kyu] to Brown [1st Kyu])

 As a testament to Kyoshi Dauphin’s efforts and everyone’s generosity, over $5000 was raised to benefit Cystic Fibrosis research. It was a day of smiles; it was a day of cries, but all in all: it was a day to remember.
